A different tour

Vestmanna´s positioning on the steep mountain side with the surrounding mountains makes it different from most other Faroese villages. This tour includes the mountain roads with many lookouts.

The guide will tell stories about how pirates hunted the population some 300 years ago, we visit new archeological findings, suggesting Vestmanna was one of the first villages to be settled in the Faroes. And we hear how Vestmanna today is a pioneer in green energy, both with regards to wind- and hydro power.

This tour is exciting and different, and will not disapoint you. We end at Restaurant Fjørukrógvin, where you are invited to join today´s lunch buffet.
